FBI Media Alert: Wig-Wearing Woman Robs Albuquerque Bank

A woman wearing a short, black wig and pajama pants with skull images on them robbed a Bank of Albuquerque branch in northeast Albuquerque on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

The suspect was described as approximately 40-45 years old, about 5’0” to 5’4” tall, and weighing about 170 pounds.

She wore dark sunglasses, a short, black wig with bangs, a large navy blue sweatshirt with an unknown design, dark pajama pants with skull images on them, and white tennis shoes.

Witnesses said the suspect at approximately 12:52 p.m. entered the bank at 4201 Wyoming Blvd. NE. and verbally demanded money from a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and was seen running west on La Mirada Place NE.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at 505-889-1300 or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, 505-843-STOP.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
