ZARAGOZA, Spain – Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, was in Zaragoza, Spain on Wednesday, 4 November 2015 to witness NATO Allies and Partners in action as Exercise Trident Juncture 2015 begins to draw to a close.
Trident Juncture 2015, NATO’s largest exercise in over a decade, has been ongoing in southern Europe since 3 October. Over 36,000 NATO and Partner troops from 30 nations have been taking part in dynamic and demanding training events in 16 locations in 3 host nations, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
Speaking during the land demonstration, General Bradshaw says, “what we have seen over the last four weeks in Spain, Portugal, and Italy has been an impressive demonstration of multi-national interoperability and indeed capability.” Adding, “The NATO Alliance continues to remain prepared to meet and defeat any potential threats to our collective security.” The General went on to say, “I am very proud of the performance of military leaders and personnel at all levels during this exercise.”
At the conclusion of Trident Juncture 2015, the Headquarters Staff from Joint Force Command Brunssum will be officially certified to lead the NATO Response Force throughout 2016.
