To commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland will host a ceremony to illuminate in orange the Palais de l’Europe with the participation of Strasbourg mayor Roland Ries. This ceremony is the Council of Europe’s contribution to the UN campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women inviting everyone to “Orange the world,” as a symbol of a brighter future without violence.
It will take place on the Forecourt of Palais de l’Europe at 17h30 and the building will be lit up in orange until midnight of that day.
