The Eastern MD AF and AD formation admission board is completing the reception of three multidimensional Mig-31 BM fighters at the “Sokol” aircraft plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
The Primorye-based regiment is to receive the fighters once the necessary documents are signed and test flights are completed. The reception of the fighters is scheduled to be completed this mid-December.
Mig-31 BM is a multidimensional fighter, capable of carrying precision weapons for engaging air and land targets. The Mig-31 BM effectiveness has increased 2.6 times compared to Mig-31 owing to the modernization of avionics and armament.
