- Army to develop explosive guided mortar program to reduce the logistical burden for troops.
- The Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force are participating in the annual bilateral training exercise MultiSail 2017, which improves interoperability between U.S. and Japanese forces.
- Watch as Marines from the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton train with soldiers from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in the 12th annual Iron Fist exercise.
- A new incisionless procedure to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) was performed for the first time in a DoD facility at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas
