Breaking news: #Romania under siege by clans of interlopers and corrupts

Clans that share their Capital

The last confrontation “public” between the clans of interlopers took place at the end of September last year, right in Constitution Square – in front of the Parliament and the headquarters of the Prosecutor General’s Office – when following the general fight between the clans of Alex Barbaro in the area of Tei and Ionut Mirea, aka “Boxer”, a person lost his life.

More over, in each sector of the Capital there are two or three such clans involved in drug trafficking, pimping or camata crimes and protection fees. Thus, at the level of Bucharest, at least 13 underworld groups are known by their new found notoriety.

Sector 1 is dominated by the Geamanu Clan, who became famous after several members stole Gigi Becali’s limo. Sandu Geamanu, the leader, is now in prison after being sentenced to 27 years in prison in 2014. He, along with three other associates, beat to death in 2011, from which they stole half a million lei worth of goods.

Also in Sector 1 is the Sadoveanu Clan, also known as the Belgian clan, led by Cristian Mitrache, one of the longest-serving interlopers in the Capital. The clan specializes in human trafficking and pimping, being one of the groups that controlled the prostitute market in the Capital for many years.

In Sector 2 crime is controlled by the Caran Clan, specialized in drug and human trafficking, but also robberies, camaraderie, thefts from TIRs. One of caran’s leaders is now in prison, precisely for human trafficking. Three years ago, one of the group’s leaders, Emil Raducan, was being held by the police in a tunnel he had built as a hideout in his own home. Aurel Caran, the leader of the group, sentenced in 2012 to three years in prison, was one of the guests at the party organized by CFR Cluj in May 2019 to win the championship, as reported by Gazeta Sporturi.

In Sector 3, the supremacy is held by the Chira clan, specialized in human trafficking, prostitution and camaraderie, the leader of the group – Aurel Chiara being recognized for the violence and brutality of his actions, details that emerge even from an investigation of DIICOT prosecutors in 2016.

At the end of 2019, clan members threw a party right in one of the villas seized by the Romanian justice system.

One of the most well-known clans is making its way into Sector 4 of the Capital. It’s about the rivals of the Camatars, the Athletes. Protection fees and credit card fraud are the specialty of the group known for acts of creepy cruelty. The interlopers are accused of torturing the debtors who didn’t pay them back on time. The head of the Sports Clan, Marius Alecu, was involved in a raid in the capital in early January, after which he was left without a finger. And the Gruia Clan is master over part of Sector 4. Interlopers are known for tax evasion and robbers.

The most famous and dangerous underworld group in the Capital is that of the Camatars. Pimping, deprivation of liberty, camaraderie and blackmail are just some of the charges for which the camaraderie was convicted. The leaders, brothers Sile and Nutu Camataru, were sentenced in 2016 to 5 and 7 years respectively, but if Nutu Camataru was paroled last March, Sile Camataru received another sentence of 6 years in prison for pimping.

In Sector 6 of the Capital, the law does it “Fighters”. The group is known for blackmail, protection fees and camaraderie in the Militari district. Eugen Preda, head of the network, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for stealing weapons from the Ciorogarla military unit and was paroled in November 2017.

Minister of Justice: Clans of interlopers begin to fall

Just hours before Thursday’s war in Chiajna, Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu was talking about a “front against organised crime”.

“We have created an institutional front against organised crime in the previous months. It’s starting to work. Clans of interlopers are starting to fall. It’s going to go through with it. In terms of justice, you have to be patient, until procedures and operations are carried out to the end. It is valid in any matter, in any file, patience, until the procedures come to an end,” Catalin Predoiu said on Thursday, July 23, during a debate on combating organised crime and trafficking in human beings.
